Peekaboo – Community Guidelines

Peekaboo is for sharing real moments with friends and having fun with dares. These rules keep it that way. Breaking them can get content removed and accounts suspended or banned, and we report serious cases to the authorities.

Be safe

• Dares are optional and must be safe and legal. Follow the Dare Safety Rules. Don't dare anyone to do something dangerous, illegal, humiliating or that involves people who haven't agreed.
• No self-harm content. Don't post or encourage self-harm, eating disorders or suicide. If you or someone you know is struggling, contact local emergency services or a crisis line (in Canada and the US, call or text 988).
• No dangerous challenges, weapons or drugs. Don't post content that shows or promotes dangerous stunts beyond our dare rules, weapons used to threaten, or illegal drugs.

Be respectful

• No bullying, harassment or threats. No name-calling campaigns, no pile-ons, no threats of violence, no doxxing (sharing someone's address, phone, school, workplace or private details).
• No hate. No attacks on people for their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, age, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or other protected characteristic.
• Consent for everyone in a photo or video. Only post people who know and agree. Remove content if the person asks.
• Respect privacy. No filming in bathrooms, changing rooms, bedrooms of others, or anywhere people expect privacy. No secret recordings.

Keep it clean

• No nudity or sexual content. This includes "almost" nudity, sexual acts, and sexual solicitation. Hit ups are for making friends, not for sexual messages. Any sexual content involving a minor is reported to the authorities immediately and permanently banned.
• No gore or graphic violence.
• No spam, scams or fake accounts. No bots, no impersonation, no mass friend-requesting, no selling, no phishing.
• Be honest in Guess Who and hit ups. Don't pretend to be someone else or use someone else's photos.

Respect the law and the app

• Nothing illegal: no theft, trespass, vandalism, fraud, or content that infringes copyright or trademarks.
• Don't try to break, scrape, overload or hack Peekaboo, or get around a block or a ban.
• Don't give a fake birthday to reach people outside your age group. It's a permanent ban.

Reporting and blocking

• Every post, story, peek, comment, profile, Guess Who post and hit up has Report (with a reason: spam, bullying, nudity, other). Reports are confidential.
• You can block anyone from their profile. Blocked people can't see your content, message you, or find you on the map, and you won't see them.
• We review reports and act on objectionable content within 24 hours, removing content and the people who post it where needed.
• Emergencies: if someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
